ABOUT THE ART:
As seen in the Luke Cage series, Marvel’s Misty Knight was created in 1975, during the Blaxploitation era of film. I’ve always loved her, and wanted to draw her in an action shot, being bad-ass. This was the first of my series of Black women superhero drawings, an ongoing side project I’m doing.
